On an area of about 53 hectares, the national nature reserve Mohelenská hadcová step rises above the meander of the Jihlava River. It belongs to one of the most valuable locations not only of Czech republic but also all of Europe. It is a unique area on a serpentine base where thanks to specific conditions, new and special steppe fauna and flora “nanism” is able to thrive.
