Water construction Dalešice is a pumped-storage dam which lies on the river Jihlava. Its construction began in the year 1970 till 1978 and it belongs to one of the biggest dams of Morava. It stretches for 22km. The main purpose of the dam is sourcing the power plant Dukovany with water. The dam has a recreational purpose as well, in its surroundings one can find many private cottages and few camping grounds, for example “Hartvíkovická pláž”. From the year 2012 the dam has an operational steam boat ride “Horácko”.
